Blue Tile Mahjong LLC ("Blue Tile," "we," "us") runs bluetilemahjong.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We're a small Houston business, and we keep this simple: we only collect what we need, and we never sell your information.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. When you email us, we receive whatever you include in your message.
- Order information. When you place an order, we and our payment and shipping partners collect what's needed to complete it, such as your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number and order details. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and service providers may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, IP address, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. Our signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam, which collects information about your device and interactions under Google's Privacy Policy.
How we use it
- To send you waitlist updates, launch news and occasional emails from Blue Tile
- To process, ship and support your orders
- To answer your questions and requests
- To keep the site secure and working, and to understand how it's used
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job. These currently include our email provider (MailerLite), our website host (Netlify), and Google reCAPTCHA. When the shop opens, this will also include our payment processor and shipping carriers. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Emails and your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing us. You may still get emails about orders you've placed.
Cookies
Our site and service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, prevent spam and understand site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features, like the signup form, may not work properly without them.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, order records for tax purposes). If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that so we don't email you again.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, email bluetilemahjong@gmail.com. We'll respond within the time the law requires and won't treat you differently for asking.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on established providers for email, hosting and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or on the site.
